ARTIST STATEMENT I am primarily a string-based musician playing guitar, violin and chello with an interest in string-based folk instruments, one of which is the ancient Cretan/Greek lyre, which fascinatingly combines a lute-like body with bowing. This instrument is similar to indigenous instruments from the Philippines, where my parents originate. Since my teens, I have been a nerd for Minoan and Mycenaean ancient history and culture.
