ARTIST STATEMENT
Lena’s works deals with the effect of colours and shapes and the play of lines and surfaces, rhythm and movement. The focus is on the search for harmony in opposites and on creating a connection where none initially seems possible.
The central concern is always the exploration of different materials and techniques. From this special exploratory approach, she also develops her designs and illustrations for textiles and other surfaces, the prototypes of which she creates herself using the hand printing process or with the tufting gun.
